Binzhou Bird Park
As part of a Bird Sanctuary Development in Binzhou, China I was assigned to develop concept designs for a performances and screening theatre and a pavilion structure as a rest area in the heart of the site for touring visitors.
The theatre structure drew its inspiration from eggs nestled together. A punctured shelter provides a semi-enclosed resting area that precedes entrance into the reserve. The structures evolved through a study and analysis of motifs and themes pertaining to the premise of the project, a celebration of birds.
