Ali Imani

Ali Imani received his bachelor's in Architecture from UC Berkeley. While an undergraduate student, he earned the University Grant and the Roslyn Eisner Prize for Photo-Imaging. Ali subsequently moved to Orange County, Southern California, where he spent a year developing placemaking/way-finding strategies for clients including Dallas Cowboys, Majid Al-Futtaim, and the City of Dana Point, while practising at a boutique studio, RSM Design.

Determined to practice his trade in the city he calls his home, Ali returned to Karachi in 2016. Relying on an multi-disciplinary approach, he has been able collaborate on a variety of projects, including Pakistan's first LEED Certified Buildings, Tertiary Care Medical Facilities & Master plans, Residential Complexes, Cafes, and City-wide Art Events. Over the past couple of years, he has served as the Production Designer for Mano Animation Studios, completing the pre-production assets for The Glassworker, their maiden project and Pakistan’s first ever fully hand-drawn animated film.

Resume

The spirit of MA Design was borne from the energy of creative collaboration. The works showcased on this website would not have been possible without the contributions and opportunities afforded by colleagues at Orient Landscape, RSM Design, Habib Fida Ali Architects, Studio Subtractive and Mano Animation Studios. And a big shout out to co-founder Mitchell Pok!
